The Pallavas have been among the ancient south Indian dynasties which were active in Andhra region within the 2nd century onwards and moved south to settle in Tamil Nadu.Outside of 10 temples, 4 are in Dravida type, 4 are in nagara design and 1 is a Jain temple, whilst the Papanatha Temple is built in a fusion of the two nagara and Dravida designs.
